Live Roundtable Discussion: Emergency Medical Technicians: T

Live Roundtable Discussion: Emergency Medical Technicians: T
The field of emergency medicine encompasses both prehospital emergent and non-emergent medical care, with personnel ranging from Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs) to Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and paramedics. Emergency responders are dispatched to meet the urgent needs of their communities, often encountering unknown circumstances, crisis situations, mental health issues, or patient deaths. These high-stakes environments place significant stress on responders, compounded by an increasing demand for emergency medical services (EMS), which continues to rise annually. Responders frequently face burnout due to mandated work hours, missed family time, limited focus on personal health, and the emotional toll of compartmentalizing traumatic events. Mental health services are essential for reducing the risks of interpersonal conflicts, burnout, and mental health disorders among emergency responders. (Click below for more details and to register)
