Description:
Fostering resilience within Black communities is vital for promoting mental wellness among Black men. This webinar will focus on culturally informed, evidence-based counseling techniques that draw on the strengths of Black culture and community. Participants will explore counseling models that address the specific needs of Black men and promote empowerment through mentoring and community support. This is Part Two of a three-part series. Part One will be available via live webinar on Friday, January 17, with recording available in the ACA Learning Portal. Part Three will be held live, in-person on Monday, March 27 at the ACA Annual Conference in Orlando. Pre-registration is required.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will learn about culturally specific counseling models that effectively address the mental health needs of Black men.
  • Participants will assess the role of resilience and community support in mental health promotion for Black men.
  • Participants will examine successful community-based programs that provide mental health empowerment to Black males.
