Debates about how to decolonize mental health have occupied the minds of counselors for decades. The prevalence of the counseling field, originally conceived to meet the needs of oppressed children during the Second Industrial Revolution, has grown, and so too should its understanding of decolonization. Reconceptualizing the Counseling Profession: A Decoloniality Project introduces an alternative approach to offering care to post-colonized populations.
