Description: Trauma and social media have a pervasive presence across many cultures and societies and impact people of all ages. However, research indicates an overlap for adolescents who experience trauma who also have access to technology and social media, yet little is known regarding the healing impact social media and technology can have on survivors of trauma. This session seeks to explore how clinicians can utilize social media to invoke healing from trauma and resolve grief in clients from the millennial generation.
