Learning Objectives:

• Learners will describe the principles of harm reduction and explain how they can be adapted from addiction treatment to support clients engaging in nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI).
Learners will identify ethical considerations and best practices for implementing harm reduction strategies with clients who self-injure, in alignment with the ACA Code of Ethics.
• Learners will apply harm reduction techniques to create supportive, client-centered treatment plans that reduce isolation and encourage help-seeking behaviors among individuals engaging in NSSI.
